Summary

When I was 18, after losing my best friend to suicide, I sought solace in my church only to be met with coldness and ignorance. That painful experience left me feeling more alone, bitter, and resentful. Over the next 13 years, I convinced myself that God didn’t exist and endured depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder without an outlet, even contemplating ending my life. Then, in a moment of unexpected grace, a handwritten card and a genuine invitation to return to church broke down my walls. I experienced a profound peace as God’s love washed over me, releasing the weight of my past pain. Today, I have found true healing and a renewed relationship with Jesus, and I am living proof that letting go of hurt can lead to lasting peace.
