Summary
I spent a harsh winter in a lonely cabin in Alaska during the gold rush, relying on whiskey to get by. But the loneliness and missing my family took a toll on me. When a fellow drunk, Jimmy, showed signs of delirium tremens, I remembered the Bible my daughter gave me. Reading her words sparked a change in me and my friends. Through prayer and the Holy Spirit, we overcame our addiction, destroyed the whiskey, and were born again. God then called us back to ministry, and our lives were transformed forever by His grace.

All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God (which is truly OPPORTUNITY!) – making Him FIRST in our life daily if we’re wise. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we’ve attained or seek to attain – all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives we help bring to Jesus Christ and disciple will last for ETERNITY, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives … for ETERNITY. (Matthew 6:19-20 is our assurance).
