Summary

John Wallace shares his transformative journey from a life steeped in conservative Christianity and cessationist teaching to one marked by a daily, expectant interaction with a supernatural God. Originally raised in the Dallas, Texas area, John recounts his conversion during his college years, his long career as a full-time dentist, and the spiritual dry spells that led him to seminary. A divine encounter during a prayer meeting changed his perspective when he heard an audible call to full-time Christian service. Over time, experiences at conferences and vivid supernatural manifestations—including an unforgettable fire vision—reinforced his conviction. Now, drawing from both evangelical and charismatic influences, John lives each day expecting God to work in every situation, whether leading a meeting or simply going about daily life.

From theological seminary to radical Holy Spirit encounters, John shares his journey of head knowledge Christianity to catching the fire of Holy Spirit that ignited his passion for Jesus.

So that has been my journey from, if you want to give it a kind of a categorization, from conservative Evangelical, to as I like to term myself, I’m an “Evangematic,” to drawing from both the evangelical world and the charismatic world, the best of God, and expecting His spirit to move in and through me. I awaken every morning expectant to interact with a supernatural God, to see a supernatural God at work. Regardless of what I’m doing that day, you know, if I’m going to the grocery store, or if I’m going to lead a meeting, God’s gonna be there, and He’s gonna want to do something. – John
