Moses and Aaron are in Egypt with the mission God gave them to free His people from slavery.
The Pharaoh had ordered the Hebrews to work twice as hard, and because of that, the people suffered more than before.
So God sends them once again to speak with Pharaoh and show him a small demonstration of His power through Aaron and his staff, which turns into a serpent.
