Summary

My name is Phillip Goudeaux. I was once an angry young member of the Black Panther Party, steeped in prejudice and hostility. Over a three‐month period, God used a young white man to change my heart, and I gave my life to Christ—getting kicked out of the party in the process. I went on to break color barriers by becoming the first black engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, but God wasn’t finished with me. With my lovely wife Brenda’s support, I embraced a life of ministry and now pastor at Calvary Christian Center in Sacramento, California. Through partnerships with Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Kenneth Hagin Ministries, I learned to live a spirit-filled life, ministering to the homeless, those recovering from addictions, and others in need. My journey is a testimony to the redeeming and transformative power of Jesus Christ.

Phillip Goudeaux shares his Christian salvation testimony in this short video by Kenneth Copeland Ministries. When Phillip first heard the Gospel, he was an angry young member of the Black Panther group.

That was 45 years ago. Since then, Phillip met and married his lovely wife Brenda and went on to break color barriers by becoming the first black engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad. But God wasn’t finished with him. Phillip, with his wife Brenda’s help, would go on to become a pastor and share the same love of Jesus to those in the Sacramento, California area.

Once again, Phillip would push boundaries when the Lord began using Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Kenneth Hagin Ministries to reveal the work of the Holy Spirit. Through those ministries, Phillip and Brenda learned how to live spirit-filled lives. They also learned what it meant to live and minister with integrity.

Today, Phillip and Brenda continue to pastor at Calvary Christian Center. They are thankful for their partnership with Kenneth Copeland Ministries and remain grateful for the ministry help that they have received for themselves and their congregation. They continue to rely on the Holy Spirit to lead them as they minister to the homeless, to those recovering from addictions and to those who simply need a hand up in life. They’re especially excited to help train those wanting to start their own business or to go into the ministry.

Watch this video to hear about Phillip’s salvation testimony and hear how God has used him and his wife to minister to people in Sacramento, California.
