Bible School Graduate Learns the Meaning of Living by Faith
Summary
My name is Duke Krieger and I’m from Greenbrier, Tennessee. I graduated from Bible school in 1996 and once believed I understood ministry through a secular, corporate lens. Over time, I became burned out and even struggled with addictions. I hit rock bottom and realized that my life was being consumed by a way of living that left me empty. In desperation, I immersed myself in live services—watching every service of the Southwest Believer’s Convention. All I heard was ‘the just shall live by faith.’ That constant message, and the overwhelming resources provided by Kenneth Copeland Ministries, led me to declare, ‘I decide to live by faith all the days of my life.’ In that moment, everything changed. My secular mindset was replaced with a renewed spirit and a deep commitment to follow God’s Word. I now live a life restored by faith, embracing the power of prayer and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit.

Duke Krieger desperately needed to discover the true meaning of living by faith. As a Bible school graduate and minister, he thought he understood how God worked. But sadly, he had developed a secular approach to ministry and faith that looked more like a corporate business plan.
By 2012, addiction controlled Duke’s life. He found himself burned out by ministry, barely hanging on both in his calling and in his personal life. He was at his end, desperate for a change. He knew Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ Southwest Believer’s Convention was coming and although he couldn’t attend in person, he determined to watch every service by live feed so that he could follow Kenneth Copeland’s suggestion and immerse himself in the Word of God.
“All week long, all I heard, every service, was ‘the just shall live by faith,’” he says. Duke had known people who had lived by faith before and their lives seemed full of problems and distress. The idea of living by faith had never appealed to him, yet he couldn’t shake the sense that living by faith was exactly what God had in store for him.
He continued to tune in—five services a day, Monday – Saturday. Slowly but surely, the objections that had plagued him fell away and he discovered the true meaning of living by faith. Following Gloria Copeland’s Healing School on Saturday, he took a moment to make this declaration: “I decide to live by faith all the days of my life.”
