During his school years, he was known as “the church guy” because he was committed to attending meetings, praying, and singing enthusiastically, as if he were a perfect person. When he began his university life, he realized something was wrong. Whenever he attended a conference, he felt excited about his relationship and communication with the Lord, praying for this connection with God, but his enthusiasm would fade away quickly.
He continued this way in other conferences. In his final year, he felt a wall separating him from God. He went to a conference and prayed with the singer, asking to see God and himself in His eyes. He cried, realizing he was broken. He heard God’s voice through the singer, and afterward, he began to walk with God in a daily relationship.
He read the novel The Shack and learned a valuable lesson: God deals with our pain even when we think we are unloved and don’t want to reveal that pain. Sometimes our prayers can be wrong, which is why God doesn’t respond. God speaks to us, and we discern His voice when we are in a living relationship with Him.
