Why the NAR is New Age with a Christian veneer
Summary
My name is Tara, and I was once deeply involved in New Age practices, including yoga, kundalini meditation, and energy work. Desperate for healing from depression and suicidal thoughts, I found myself drawn into what I believed were supernatural experiences. Searching for a church, I ended up in a New Apostolic Reformation congregation, which mirrored the mysticism I had left behind. Over time, I discovered how closely NAR teachings resembled the very New Age deceptions I’d fled. By God’s grace, I finally turned wholly to Jesus, immersing myself in the Bible and finding the true peace I’d sought. In my book, I warn others of these false teachings, reminding everyone that Jesus alone offers salvation and that the Bible equips us to discern truth from deception.
