Julie’s Story
Summary
My name is Julie, and my journey has been rough. I grew up with a fear of God and even tattooed myself as a shield to keep others at bay. I advanced in my career and got married, but soon fell into a spiral of substance abuse—using pain pills, opioids, and alcohol to cope. I faced multiple DUI arrests and spent time in jail. After a severe intervention by my loving parents, I finally cried out to Jesus for help. Now, two years sober, I’ve rediscovered hope, returned to college after twenty years, and am training to be a social worker to help other women break free from their struggles. My life is a testament to God’s power to restore and transform even the most broken stories.
