Kristi LaPlante says she turned to cocaine and other drugs to numb the pain after a very tough life as a young person. She had three children before she was 20 – the first one at 15. Kristi lost her father at 16…and found herself on the streets suffering with addictions and homelessness. In recovery, she now works with women with addictions in compromised living situations in Vancouver.
