Summary

I’m Damian, 31, raised in an abusive home in San Antonio. Kicked out at 14, I turned to drugs, alcohol, and crime, believing life wasn’t worth living. One night I walked into traffic—only to be spared. Homeless and deep in depression and PTSD after Navy service and a broken marriage, I called out to God, asking Him to prove He was real. The next day I found a church within walking distance; a stranger told me, “God hears you and loves you.” In that moment, my faith ignited. Over the following years, I was baptized in the Spirit, learned to trust Jesus, and found purpose far beyond my pain. 🙏❤️
