Perfect in Weakness by Lisa Robinson
Summary
I am Lisa Robinson. Growing up in a family of seekers, I internalized the pressure to be perfect and became a high achiever. After college, when Tom and I got married, our unresolved baggage and lack of trust led to constant conflict and a ticking time bomb in our home. As our marriage deteriorated, I began to search desperately for answers. One day, in our dining room, I got down on my knees and cried out to the Lord, asking why I did not know Him. His answer revealed that my lack of trust was the root of my struggle. In a moment of heartache and breakthrough, I chose to forgive Tom—declaring that he is beautifully and wonderfully made by God. That act of forgiveness sparked a transformation in our marriage. Through prayer, Bible reading, and joining a small group at the Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, our family found healing, support, and renewed hope. Today, our restored relationship is a testimony to God’s redeeming power and the transformative grace of Jesus Christ.
