Summary

I’m Luis Ruiz. I survived the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando, Florida, where 49 people were killed and 53 wounded. For most of my life, I lived as a homosexual, struggling with rejection, bullying, and confusion about my identity. Growing up, painful experiences and even though my parents became Christians couldn’t fill the void inside me. I wandered in darkness—experimenting with same-sex attractions, partying, and even facing homelessness and an HIV diagnosis. One morning, after yet another night of despair, I walked into a church and prayed, asking Jesus to take over my life. That decision marked the beginning of my transformation. Through His forgiveness and love, I discovered my true identity in Christ. Today, I lead an organization called Fearless Identity, which brings hope and the love of God to both the LGBTQ community and the church. I am delivered, redeemed, and set free in Jesus.
