I never really understood the power of a testimony until I started sharing mine with others. I don’t really think mine is all that special, but God has put this on my heart to share so that others who may have similar experiences can relate and feel encouraged. Also for those who may know me personally that don’t know how this came about, whether they knew me before my walk or after, thanks for checking this out. This video is anything but perfect (it’s got some missing video and it’s lengthy), but as a recovering perfectionist, I give myself the grace to put it out there regardless of everything that tried to stop me from doing so.

By no means am I making fun of or wanting to make myself seem better than those who are currently stuck in their disbelief of God or for those who are still refusing or skeptical to accept Jesus. I’m just someone who was awoken to the deception of the enemy in so many aspects of this world and wants to warn others too, especially those who are either deeply in or just diving into the New Age spirituality that’s becoming mainstream these days. I know people who have been in it for a while, make their living off of these practices, or are just starting to get into it. I can see and feel the desperation for meaning and purpose emanating from them, just like I once had, and I just want you to know that nothing will ever fill you the same way Jesus does. And again, this is coming from someone who was stubbornly anti-religion and anti-god to the core.
Looking back, it’s hard to believe that I spent more years of my life hating myself and wanting to die and end my life every single day, to now loving life and all it has to offer. All of the glory goes to God for this though, he’s the wonderful author of my story. You’re not alone in your struggles and you are so deeply loved just as you are. Don’t ever let anyone make you believe you have to deserve love. God gives you his love freely, willingly, and unconditionally—no strings attached. The hard part of course is to believe it after you’ve been hurt so much by man.
[Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8]
