Summary

I am Alan Chambers. I experienced deep brokenness from sexual abuse and struggled with homosexuality. I was searching for fulfillment in relationships until I discovered that true wholeness comes only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My life changed dramatically during a divine encounter in a gay bar on Easter Sunday 1991. Through God’s clear call and the loving intervention of believers from discovery church, I was rescued from despair. This journey restored my relationship with my father and enriched my marriage with my wife, Leslie. Today, I live a transformed life, testifying that only Jesus can bring genuine healing, restoration, and hope.
