SummaryI grew up in a Catholic home where I felt I wasn’t smart enough to read the Bible myself. I chased applause—sports, teaching awards, paper recognition—but never found peace. When I moved to Jacksonville, a friend invited me to The Church of Eleven22. The kindness I felt that first Sunday opened my heart to God’s voice as I began reading Scripture for myself. I discovered that Jesus loved me unconditionally and that His sacrifice counted for me too. Today, I am free from the idols of achievement and recognition, and I rest in true peace through my relationship with Christ.
