JEWISH ISRAELI who grew up with the synagogues’ hypocrisy found God elsewhere!
Summary
My name is Sahar, and I grew up in Bat Yam, Israel, surrounded by synagogues and religious rituals. However, the hypocrisy I witnessed in these places of worship pushed me away from God. I sought fulfillment in relationships, wealth, and personal achievements, but none of it satisfied me. A critical moment came when a close friend faced a terminal illness, and a rabbi demanded exorbitant fees to pray for healing. Disheartened, I decided to read the New Testament, expecting it to be irrelevant to my Jewish identity. To my surprise, I discovered a profound and compelling story of Jesus—a Jewish man whose teachings and life transformed me. Through reading the New Testament, I found not only the truth about Jesus but also a new purpose in life. God softened my heart, and I now work with children in special education, sharing the love and grace of Jesus. My life has been completely transformed, and I live to serve others as God has loved and redeemed me.
