Although Marisa grew up in a Christian home, as a child and teenager she battled with what she found out is known as “Body Dysmorphia”. It affected her self image and esteem. She avoided mirrors and hid from her reflection. At the age of 16 she had an extreme makeover. It took time for her to learn to love herself, but the process gave her such a desire to see all women embrace who they were created to be – a masterpiece created by an incredible craftsman God.
