My name is Brett, and I grew up convinced I had no need for God. I dove headfirst into drugs, heavy metal, and eventually full-on satanic imagery, even marking my body with symbols of darkness. For years, I focused on chasing the party lifestyle, money, and shallow relationships, all while losing precious time with my daughter and falling deeper into substance abuse. My wife Kim struggled with her own demons, turning to sex work for the money. Together, we spiraled into chaos—constant fighting, broken trust, and a hole in our hearts we couldn’t seem to fill. Then, piece by piece, the truth of Jesus Christ found its way to me. I tried other paths first—New Age, the occult, even Freemasonry—yet nothing stuck until the overwhelming evidence for Jesus and the love of God became impossible to deny. In one pivotal moment, I got down on my knees and prayed for forgiveness. Instead of condemnation, I felt God’s mercy. I quit drugs, my wife stepped away from her old life, and we finally felt free of the crippling emptiness. Kim even had a vivid dream of meeting Yahweh in a radiant field, affirming our decision. Today, we serve the Lord, attend church faithfully, and focus on living righteously with genuine joy. God has replaced our addictions and pain with hope and a deep gratitude for His grace.
