Testimony Thursday – Failing the NBCOT Three Times
Summary
My dream was to become an occupational therapist. I went to Ithaca College to pursue my master’s degree and prepared diligently for the NBCOT exam. I believed I had all the resources I needed to pass with flying colors. However, despite my hard work and a structured study schedule, I failed the exam on my first three attempts. I was confused and felt as if God had forgotten about me. In my desperation, I questioned why I was going through this cycle of failure. Yet, through prayer and perseverance, I began to understand that God’s plan is always better than my own. His encouragement helped me to see that every setback was purposeful, meant to shape my journey and prepare me to share my story with others who might be facing similar struggles.

My dream was to become an occupational therapist. I studied hard for the NBCOT exam, but failed the first three times I took it. When the time came for my fourth attempt, COVID happened and it got canceled. I was confused. I felt like God forgot about me. Throughout all of this, I had to keep the faith in God. In time, He showed me why trusting His plan can never fail. This is my story.
