Summary
SummaryI’m Vanessa Ruppert, and for years I masked a crippling alcohol addiction—sneaking drinks in McDonald’s cups even in class. 😔 At 20, my life hit rock bottom: failing college, nearly kicked out, friendships shattered, depression overwhelming me. Then one desperate morning in May 2018, God spoke to my heart: ‘What are you doing with your life?’ I abandoned my shift at work and walked into my brother’s church. During the altar call, as ‘Reckless Love’ played, I finally understood I couldn’t earn God’s grace—I only had to receive it. 🙌 That night, I surrendered. Instantly, the chains fell off: six years sober and nearly three years into complete freedom. 🕊️ Now, even in seasons of hardship, I don’t recognize that broken person I was. I pray for everyone struggling—whether addiction, despair, or discouragement—that you too will find hope and healing in Jesus.
