SummaryI am Sofia. I lost my parents because they were faithful Christians and I saw them taken from me in violence. I cried out, “Isn’t God supposed to answer our prayers?” 😢 Even when people laid hands on my father and the church prayed, my mother still didn’t wake. My heart ached with grief—as if hope had been silenced. Yet when I arrived at the Open Doors Children’s Centre, I saw children running hand in hand, laughter filling the air, and joy blossomed in my soul 🌈. Here I learned that God’s love never abandons us. He turned my sorrow into a place of safety, love, and new family. Now, I know even in darkest times, He is faithful and brings healing and hope 🙏.

We do so because we believe that when one member suffers, all members suffer with it (1 Corinthians 12:26), that all doors are open and that God enables His Body to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.
