KCM Partners Tom and Kim Westberry knew God had a community outreach in store for them, but they didn’t know what that looked like until Kenneth Copeland came to them with the same vision God had given him. It was out of this vision that The Joseph Storehouse (https://worldcovenantministries.org) was birthed.

The model for The Joseph Storehouse is based on the model God gave Joseph in the Bible. It is literally about sowing and reaping. The Joseph Storehouse is a place for those in need to obtain food and household items at a very reduced price. The reason items are not free is because the Westberrys want people to know that The Joseph Storehouse is not their source––the Lord is.

The Joseph Storehouse holds several outreaches each year, but the main one is the Christmas Compassion Event, with which Kenneth Copeland Ministries partners. The event blesses children who are not able to get much of anything for Christmas, through a party, which begins with a service telling the true Christmas story. Every year, many accept the Lord for the first time in their lives, and last year, 212 did!

After the service, the children go to the fun zone, where they play in bounce houses, get their faces painted, and just have a blast. Meanwhile, their parents are on the other side of the warehouse picking out free toys for their kids. Once they’re finished, the parents take the toys out to their cars, are reunited with their children, and then served a nice hot lunch.

Jesus said to go out into all the world, preach the gospel and make disciples––because of this, discipleship is extremely vital to the Westberrys’ ministry. It is also extremely important to them to take people from where they are and help them get to the place God has for them. For Tom and Kim, there’s no greater joy than to help someone from a place of defeat and struggle to a place of victory. It’s not always by financial means or prayer, either. Sometimes, it is just by simply loving them the way Jesus loves them.

Being a ministry outreach, and not a church, gives them the opportunity to bring in those who wouldn’t normally come to church. Once people are introduced to Christ, Tom and Kim are able to work as a bridge with local churches and direct the people they serve to a church in their community.

Through KCM’s partnership with this outreach, families in need are being provided for, souls are being won for Christ, and Tom and Kate are able connect those they serve with churches in their community––Praise God!
