Summary

I used to spend weekends dragging my kids around on endless errands, thinking I was maximizing our time together. Instead, they grew bored, resenting being stuck in lines and banks. It took me a while to realize how much I missed the point of truly bonding. Once I understood, I started letting them choose what they enjoyed—especially on their birthdays, when I’d make a point to be present, share meals, and listen. Though I can never reclaim those early years, I’m learning that with God’s help, it’s never too late to invest in real quality time and show my children that I genuinely care about their interests.
