In this episode of the “Walking with the Savior” podcast, host John Merrill Kirkman interviews Sahar Qumsiyeh, a woman who grew up in Palestine and faced many hardships and conflicts. Sahar discusses her experiences growing up near Bethlehem, witnessing violence and facing persecution. She recounts her journey of faith and healing through Christ, which led her to overcome deep-seated hatred and bitterness.

Sahar shares her educational journey, including attending Bethlehem University and later receiving a scholarship to study in the United States. Despite initially being skeptical, she felt drawn to Brigham Young University (BYU) and embraced its community. Her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provided her solace and made her confront and resolve her negative emotions towards Israeli soldiers, whom she previously saw as enemies.

Highlighting her commitment, Sahar describes the extreme measures she took to attend church in Jerusalem, including sneaking through dangerous routes and evading checkpoints. Through these trials, her faith strengthened, and she experienced numerous miracles that reassured her of God’s presence and protection.
