Finding Fulfillment after Brokenness / CHRISTINE MATTHEWS
Summary
I had everything—a loving family, good friends, and a promising career—but I still felt empty. My life took a dramatic turn on June 25th, 2006, when I was involved in a severe car crash caused by drinking and driving, which left me in a morphine-induced coma and with life-threatening injuries. Airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital, I experienced a miraculous awakening as doctors and nurses worked to save me. Throughout a long recovery, my sister’s persistent prayers and the support of my loved ones helped me to question my emptiness and search for true fulfillment. In that dark hour, I cried out to God, and His intervention transformed my life. Today, I stand as a living testimony of restoration, knowing that only Jesus can fill the void and restore our brokenness.
