Tough faith journeys- ANOREXIA AND AUTISM / TRISH NICHOLLS-POWELL
Trish struggled with an eating disorder, anorexia and bulimia from her childhood/youth. She was told at the tender age of 16 that she could not get pregnant because her body was ruined from anorexia. Trish now has 4 kids. She became pregnant at 18 years old. Trish admits she wore a mask and struggled with her body image. Thankfully she found hope. She realized she was sick while in a treatment center. Soon after, she discovered she is enough in Christ and pursued a relationship with Jesus to help her overcome. Her amazing faith has also helped her through other challenges such as raising children with autism, with one of her children needing to attend therapy for 10 years. Trish has spoken at women’s conferences and continues to share a message of hope and inspiration to those struggling with eating disorders as well share her advocacy work for autism.
