🤝 “I grew up in a chaotic home—moving schools, fractured family, and self‑proclaimed atheist by 17 when I moved to Oregon. I lost myself in relationships, even pulling the faith of a Christian boyfriend away. After years of isolation, I felt an urgent need for real connection. Driving past Westside Community Church, their ‘No Perfect People Allowed’ sign invited me in. At home, I paused Michael Todd’s sermon, grabbed a notebook and gel pens—and on October 3, 2022, I knelt, prayed the Jesus prayer, and wept as God met me in my brokenness. Three months later, moved by the Jesus Revolution movie and the baptism service, I stepped into the water, overwhelmed by agapē love. Community pushed me from watching sermons online to experiencing life change: praying aloud at work, journaling Scripture each morning, and walking my dog in prayer. Now fully rooted in faith and fellowship, I’m eager to serve—praying for others, joining the baptism team, and sharing that no one stands alone in Jesus.”

Summary

I grew up as a convinced atheist—science and evolution were my only truths 😅. When I met my husband at 24, his passion for Christ both intrigued and annoyed me. He prayed daily for me, shared Scripture nonstop, and one afternoon in traffic, an overwhelming conviction hit my heart 🙏💔. I broke down, asked God for truth and forgiveness, and in that moment, He saved me! Months later I was baptized, then married a few months after, and today we’ve been blessed with our daughter Amaya 👶💕. Jesus transformed my life from darkness into light, and I praise Him for every step of this journey!

    For 50 years I was an atheist and as a result the devil knew where to find me. He found me in bad relationships, at the bottom of a bottle, he found me in foul language and dirty habits, he found me in lewd jokes and violent movies. I was living a life that let the devil move in and take over again and again! It wasn’t until I was alone, lost and desperate that I hit my knees and found God waiting for me. His love has changed me in ways I didn’t know possible. My tongue is now tender, my eyes now only search for softness and sobriety is where I find God waiting on me. I never thought that I could be changed in such a profound way by simply opening my heart and letting it be touched by God but now that I have, I can’t imagine living any other way then in the light of His goodness!! It’s never too late to let Him in, he’s waiting patiently for you.

    Summary

    I was locked in a cycle of abuse, depression, and self‑destruction—running a restaurant by day, living with my boyfriend, and battling suicidal thoughts since I was a teen. One night, a man I’d met at work rescued me from an explosive fight, loaded my belongings into his van, and drove me to a rented room with nothing asked in return but to stay safe. Over the next days, he fed me groceries and gently introduced me to Scripture. Out of sheer curiosity, I prayed a simple prayer I found online—and that night I felt an undeniable presence in my room. I saw dark spirits flee from me, and for the first time, I truly believed God was real. Over the following weeks, I devoured the Bible, and on my third month of faith, I received the gift of spiritual discernment. Now I know Jesus saves, demons exist, and angels guard us. My life has purpose, and I share this so anyone who’s fallen hard can see that God’s power brings real deliverance, healing, and hope.

    Ok guys so I felt really awkward cause I felt like I was talking to a brick wall.. and I just did this in one take, the first take. I also didn’t edit it to make it more exciting. The message though is clear. God is real. As I found out. And so is Jesus. And the Holy Spirit and everything else in the bible!!

    At the end when I said “and i’ve experienced them all”… I just want to correct myself, I haven’t experienced heaven & hell for myself. I have experienced God’s love, presence and re-shaping of my character, I have seen demons, I have seen what I believe was Satan himself, I have witnessed angelic protection during spiritual warfare. I have taken part in 2 exorcisms and one baptism (in addition to my own baptism).

    I will obviously make videos of those.

    I just want to add that although I look a bit miserable here (because I feel awkward) I have had the best 3 months of my life in Christ. I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I have found meaning in my life and have never been happier. God is SO GOOD. His presence and his love for me I see everyday. It is amazing. And I am SO BLESSED to be fighting on the front line for Jesus.

    I used to be a strong atheist and let me tell you, YOU NEED GOD.

My early years were marked by instability, poverty, and painful experiences in school—including relentless bullying due to my appearance and speech impediment. As I entered my teenage years, the isolation and rejection drove me toward a worldview based solely on logic and self-reliance. I embraced atheism and even dived into transhumanist ideas as a way to overcome the inevitability of death. However, during college, I met a friend whose own profound journey challenged my hardened beliefs.       Episode 90: Atheist Radically Transformed By God’s Love

      An atheist’s life is forever and completely transformed in a shared death experience with his son. In January of 2011, Darin and Jennifer’s 2 year old son Griffin was diagnosed with croup. Despite doing all of the right things to help their son, Griffin rapidly decompensated in the hospital and tragically, was found to have no brain activity. In the last Earthly hours with their son, God allowed for Darin to see his son in heaven, and so much more. This testimony is a powerful example of the transformational power of God’s love.

      Darin and Jennifer share:
      -Darin (prior to experience) as an atheist filled with anger and lacking compassion for others
      -Darin’s shared death experience as he held his son’s hand in the last hours
