Summary

We are Marcus and Evelyn Martinez, pastors in Toronto, Canada. Through our work with young offenders in juvenile detention, we learned that authenticity is key in ministry. By listening to the Holy Spirit and allowing the love of God to shine through, we discovered that people can easily detect insincerity. Our experience taught us that genuine ministry isn’t about putting on a show; it’s about living out the truth of the gospel, breaking down barriers, and building real relationships. We share our journey to encourage others to be true to who they are and to minister with integrity.

Marcus and Evelyn Martinez, Partners with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, have learned the value of being open and authentic as they minister the love of God, especially when working in juvenile detention ministry. In fact, it was through their work with juvenile offenders that they learned how to minister effectively and even to pastor.

“I’ve worked with young offenders’ jail, and with young offenders,” says Marcus, “and they can see through fake stuff real easy. They taught me how to be authentic. They taught me how to truly talk to people and how to care.”

Marcus’ desire to reach young people with the truth of the Gospel and the love of God never wavered. Though he admits, “To get them to open up takes a lot of work.” To succeed in juvenile detention ministry, Marcus says he had to learn to listen to the Holy Ghost and trust the Holy Ghost to speak in a way that a person can hear and understand.

God used their time with juvenile detention ministry to prepare Marcus and Evelyn for full-time ministry. When they founded Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, they were ready to deal with adults with the same authenticity that had had with the youth.

“[Church members] want to see that what you say, what you preach, and how you come across is who you really are,” Evelyn says.

Watch this video and hear how Marcus and Evelyn Martinez have learned the importance of being authentic from working in juvenile detention ministry.

My name is Devin Gordon, and I attend LCBC West Shore where I serve as a youth leader for 7th and 8th grade boys. After moving through several states with my wife, we found our home at LCBC and got baptized together in 2016, turning our lives over to Christ. I discovered my calling when I realized that kids naturally gravitate towards me. The Lord called me to serve, and volunteering has since become a way to reach others and make our church feel like a close-knit family. Hi, I’m Kathleen. While on vacation and camping, I visited a laundromat and noticed that some important clothing items were missing from my laundry. After praying for their recovery, I returned the next day to find that a kind woman named Marcia had kept my lost items safe. Moved by her kindness, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to bless her with a real life stories testimony book. I gave her the book as a token of God’s provision and love, and in that moment, my mission was fulfilled. I share this story to encourage you to trust God’s guidance in everyday moments and to spread His love through simple acts of kindness.

We are encouraging Christians to help distribute these VERY EFFECTIVE witnessing resources in their communities as well as the Jesus Did It! flyers: https://www.reallifestoriesbooks.com/testimonies

The initial vision that God gave Jim was to demonstrate to local church fellowships what God would do if those local church fellowships produced their OWN testimony book/s from the testimonies of people in THEIR church fellowship. Then make free books available for people in those church fellowships to pass out in their respective communities. That vision STILL STANDS.

I am Dr. Avery Jackson and my journey began when I was just 8 years old. I asked the Lord how I could help people with brain problems like my grandmother’s, and He called me to be a neurosurgeon. Throughout my career, I have carried the mind of Christ and the peace of the Holy Spirit into every operating room, performing over 10,000 surgeries and caring for 100,000 patients. A life-changing moment came when my pastor laid hands on me, and I received a powerful download from the Holy Spirit about the importance of laughter and choosing joy even in challenging moments. This testimony is a celebration of the transformative power of faith, the joy of the Lord, and the fulfillment that comes from living according to God’s purpose.

KCM Partner Dr. Avery Jackson’s grandmother had a stroke when he was in second grade. At the age of only 8, he asked the Lord, “How can I help people who have brain problems like my grandma?” The Lord responded to him saying, “I want you to be a neurosurgeon.”

As an 8-year-old, Avery had no clue what that even was, so he looked it up and told God that he would do it. He went on to enthusiastically tell all his teachers that he was going to be a neurosurgeon until he went to university and medical school. He has been practicing in Michigan for nearly 20 years.

When Dr. Avery is in the operating room, he carries the mind of Christ and the peace of the Holy Spirit with him. So far, he has had 10,000 surgeries and 100,000 patients!

On March 22, 2015, his pastor laid hands on him saying, “Your hands will be used to help people with problems there’s no answer for.” Dr. Avery went home and immediately received a huge download from the Holy Spirit, who reminded him of his research on laughter and its effect on the body.

Watch and discover what Dr. Jackson has learned about the great importance of laughter and choosing the joy of the Lord no matter how you feel!

I am Jerry Dirmann and together with my wife Kimberly, we share our journey as we pastor The Rock in Anaheim, California. We began hearing prophecies foretelling both coming darkness and an unprecedented revival, as revealed in Isaiah 60:2. Convinced that these events would occur simultaneously, God directed us to shift our ministry from campus to homes. As a result, we launched 170 certified house churches. Our testimony is a call to arise in dark times, multiply disciples, and embrace the power of Jesus through divine guidance.

KCM Partners Jerry and Kimberly Dirmann pastor The Rock, a church in Anaheim, Calif., and they began hearing a lot of prophecies. Some were saying that very dark things were coming, and other prophecies were saying they were about to have the biggest revival yet. Jerry wasn’t sure which prophecy to believe until God gave him Isaiah 60:2: “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

It became very clear to Jerry that these two prophecies were going to happen simultaneously. As he shared this revelation and message with his congregation, God continued speaking to him. God said, When darkness comes, they change the laws to prohibit you from teaching in the temple. Jerry was immediately reminded of countless examples throughout the Bible that confirmed this very truth.

God directed Jerry to start planning to have church in homes, which he communicated with his congregation on Feb. 6, 2020. On March 11, 2020, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. Due to extreme regulations, they could no longer have church on campus, so they accelerated their plans to have church from home.

The Dirmanns knew that this was not the time to withdraw—it was the time to ARISE. Since then, they’ve launched 170 certified house churches! They’re beginning to see how God wants to multiply disciples everywhere, and their work is only just getting started. Hallelujah!

Summary

I, Pastor Robert Scales, share my journey of faith. From my call to partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries in 1992—when Jesus instructed me to pull out the anointing on Brother Copeland—to my commitment to teach how God loved us on the Cross, my ministry has been a testament to divine intervention. Despite facing persecution, including physical attacks for preaching the gospel, the Lord has continuously rescued and sustained me. My testimony is solely about Jesus, whose love and sacrifice form the foundation of my calling and ministry.

—————– Original Video ————————

When Robert Scales, a pastor in Watertown, Tenn., entered full-time ministry in 1989, he knew the importance of having leaders in his life who have heard from and followed the Lord. Scales said, “They set an example for us to follow. We follow them, who in faith and patience inherit the promises.” Once he discovered Kenneth Copeland, the Lord told Pastor Scales to partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. “The Lord told me pull on the anointing that is on Brother Copeland to prosper.” That is exactly what he has been doing since he began partnering with KCM in 1992. He has not missed a month of support since that time, over 30 years ago.

Pastor Scales knows his purpose. “My assignment is to teach on how God loved us at the Cross. Love is the most important.” As he has walked that purpose out, he has had ample opportunity to be afraid, but the Lord has always pulled him through. He’s had both jaws broken, been spat on, had bottles thrown at him and guns pulled on him—all for preaching the gospel. The Lord has always rescued him. Brother Copeland and Kenneth Hagin’s stories of persecution have encouraged him to love like Jesus did. “To be kind, we must remember what God has done for us in order to maintain a tender heart,” says Pastor Scales.

My name is Rev. Mark Morgan and I want to share my testimony about the costly move to San Francisco—a journey marked by divine intervention and personal trial. I recount a vivid dream in which the Lord directed me to look toward San Bruno Mountain, from which the clear message emerged: San Francisco was the destination God had chosen. Despite doubts, financial challenges, and cultural differences between my old life in Oklahoma and the new opportunities in California, I felt compelled by God’s calling to make the move. I share this testimony to encourage believers to trust in God’s guidance, even when the path is difficult, and to embrace the restoration and new beginnings that follow when we follow His call.

Summary

My name is Rev Chris Green and I want to share my testimony about the hardship of church planting. My wife and I planted a church on the southwest side of Austin, Texas, a year and a half ago. I remember telling Pastor Harvey that I used to be foolish by attending other churches, but now I see the fruit of the seeds we planted as the tree of our church comes to life. However, the journey has not been easy. Despite the early promise, we struggled to see the Holy Spirit move as expected, and I was deeply convicted about our calling. I learned that our assignment in this city is to take new territory that Satan thought was his. The challenges are many—from a lack of visible revival to the constant battle against spiritual opposition—but I trust that when God gets a hold of your life, every hardship is transformed into a testimony of His power. I share my story to encourage others to remain faithful and to press into the calling God has placed on their lives.
