Summary

I share my journey as a legal missionary called by God to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Growing up as the son of an attorney, I embraced a divine calling to enter the American justice system. After graduating from Duke Law in 1993, my involvement in high-profile cases, notably the Terri Schiavo case, reshaped my understanding of life’s sanctity. This experience led me to found the National Center for Life and Liberty in 2012. My testimony is a solemn reminder that every human life is precious, and it is our duty to stand for justice and defend the rights of the vulnerable through faith and legal action.

Interview with David Gibbs III.

Growing up as the son of an attorney, David Gibbs III knew early on in life that the Lord had called him as a legal missionary to the American justice system. In 1993, he graduated from Duke University School of Law, and went on to become an attorney.

During the mid-2000s, David had the opportunity to serve as the lead attorney in the Terri Schiavo case, representing her parents to the U.S. Supreme Court as they fought to save their daughter’s life.

It was after his involvement in this case that he was especially burdened to establish an organization which would work to defend the rights of those who could not do so for themselves. As a result, he founded the National Center for Life and Liberty (NCLL) in 2012.

David Gibbs III currently serves as President of NCLL. He is also a preacher, national speaker, and Fox News contributor.

Summary

I share my life-changing journey as a medical missionary. Growing up in a single-parent family in a trailer park taught me the value of hard work and determination. After coming to Christ at fifteen, I set my heart on following God’s call in the medical field and attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. A residency rotation in Haiti opened my eyes to the needs abroad, and with the support of my wife, I began self-funding missions in Central America and Cuba. Despite numerous challenges—navigating financial hardships, bureaucratic obstacles, and the realities of delivering healthcare in remote regions—I persevered by planning meticulously and trusting in God’s provision. My story is a testament to how obedience to God transforms obstacles into opportunities to share the Gospel and bring hope to those in need.

Interview with Brent Hambrick.

Growing up in a single-parent family in a trailer park, Brent Hambrick learned to have a great work ethic, study hard, and take advantage of every opportunity which presented itself. After choosing to follow Christ at fifteen years old, Brent began to seriously seek God’s will for his life. He soon realized his calling to the medical field, and subsequently enrolled in the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

During his collegiate tenure, Brent participated in a medical rotation in Haiti, where he initially became interested in serving the Lord abroad. Years later, feeling convicted after reading the parable of the rich man and his storehouses, Brent and his wife determined that, as soon as they were able, they would begin giving back to the Lord through service in the medical mission field.

With doors shut in their face and mainstream options dwindling, Brent and his family began preparing and saving for self-funded service in Central America. Eventually, Brent moved his entire family (which included 7 children) to Honduras and began helping a local medical student organization conduct medical outreaches that met both physical and spiritual needs.

It was during this time that Brent began to see the growing spiritual impact Christian doctors and local pastors were having on the people. Encouraged and yearning to see God work through him and fellow Believers even more, he committed to staying and serving even longer. As a result, Christian medical and evangelistic outreaches continued to grow, as well as their effect on local communities.

Brent’s tenure as a medical missionary in Central America and Cuba serves as a testament to the importance of following God’s calling, no matter where it may lead. Join us, as we listen to Brent’s infectious joy as he relates his experiences serving God by serving others.

Summary

I share my life adventure—from my early days of being captivated by my father’s fairy tales to a life-changing moment when my mom’s prayer transformed me during a terrifying nightmare. That spark led me to discover cassette recorders and the magic of audio storytelling. Though I initially worked in television production, God orchestrated events that brought me to Focus On The Family and allowed me to write for Adventures in Odyssey. Even during a challenging season with a prostate cancer diagnosis, I experienced divine healing and financial support. I continue to embrace creative storytelling as a calling from God, confident that true adventure lies in obeying His path.

Interview with John Fornof.

Early on in his life, John Fornof had a great love for storytelling. When riding with his sister to their father’s house on weekends, he would be enraptured by his father’s fairy tales.

When his father presented him with a cassette recorder shortly thereafter, John was both intrigued and delighted. Using his imagination, he began to record his own audio dramas. Eventually, he grew a desire to do radio drama long term.

For a while, it would seem as if his life would go a different path, and his dream would never come true. He began working as a television producer and eventually became an executive producer for a local television network.

However, John’s dream suddenly became a reality when he was hired in 1997 by Focus On The Family. His job description: screenwriter for the hit children’s Christian radio drama — “Adventures in Odyssey”.

John describes his story up to now in three words: a life adventure. He gives God the credit for orchestrating the challenges, events, and miracles in his life which would eventually bring him to where he is today.

Join us as we listen to John’s account of God’s faithful provision and guidance in the adventure He has called John on!

I started a small group last January at Hope Community Church and witnessed God’s incredible guidance. Strangers unexpectedly joined our meetings, and the community blossomed into a group of dedicated Christian sisters. When I got pregnant, I felt the need to step aside and encourage someone to lead the group, trusting that God’s hand would guide the transition. Summary

I moved to North Carolina and arrived in Raleigh after running a busy business, and soon discovered that I hardly knew anyone. When a pastor at Morrisville mentioned a discovery class, it piqued my interest. After about a year of attending and getting plugged into Hope Community Church, I started volunteering at Common Ground. Volunteering not only helped me form meaningful connections within the church—where I even began photographing baptisms—but also set me on fire with passion for service. Now, I’m committed to staying connected, ensuring my family benefits from a strong support network and that others experience the same welcoming atmosphere.

I’m Gracen, and I’ve been serving in KidCity at Hope Community Church for almost five years. My journey began with an initiation suggested by my mom, and I embraced the opportunity to serve and connect with toddlers. It has been an enriching experience where I’ve grown into a smart group leader, building genuine relationships with the children. One of the most touching moments was when one of the girls, Karolina, asked me to baptize her. I truly believe that God orchestrated this opportunity, and every day I’m excited to walk alongside these young lives and witness their growth in faith.

Summary

My name is Todd Roese. I was once a banker with a strong academic background who never thought I would preach. After reading the words of Paul, I felt compelled to pursue a calling—even though I initially resisted because of my fears. Through a surprising prank that led to a short-term missions trip, I experienced a powerful nudge from God that transformed my life. That moment set me on a path to become a missionary. I later returned to Russia, pastored a church for over 25 years, and witnessed firsthand the challenges of ministry in a controlled environment. My testimony is a reminder that God can use even the most unexpected events to call us into His service.
