Summary

I struggled with overwhelming fear and panic that left me paralyzed and isolated. In 2001, I fell into what felt like the deepest, darkest pit of hopelessness, where I experienced a terrifying encounter that I can only describe as being in the presence of satan himself. For years, I lived in constant dread until a godly prophetess, Marilyn Chanel, spoke into my life with divine clarity. Through her guidance and the transformative power of prayer, I learned that true deliverance comes from trusting in Jesus Christ alone. I share my testimony as a lesson in relying on God’s love to overcome the crippling grip of fear and to restore hope in our lives.

    Summary

My name is Dustin Lewis. I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and currently live in East Petersburg. Balancing long work shifts at Arconic and managing our restaurant, Blazin J’s, while caring for my family has been challenging. Growing up without my biological father and facing a troubled childhood led to deep emotional scars that eventually manifested as severe anxiety and panic attacks. After being off work for three months and hitting rock bottom, I turned to Jesus. My meditation turned into prayer, and slowly, I began to experience real transformation. As I leaned on Jesus, I found inner peace and healing, which restored not only my mental well‐being but also improved my relationships at home and at work.

As followers of Christ, it can be pretty easy to cling to a lie that if we follow Jesus all of our problems go away. No more fear. No more insecurity or anger. But soon we realize that it’s not true. Hope Darst talks about how she found this to be the case in her own life and how anger and fear became so crippling that these emotions almost landed her in the hospital.

The gift of salvation comes when we accept Jesus as Lord. We are saved. But until you release control of your own life and say “Lord you are in charge of my life,” you may never experience the true freedom that Jesus can bring.

“I told myself that I was “stupid” and “dumb”, and that I needed to work harder and change myself.

And as a result, I started hating everything about myself and became more and more insecure and isolated.

But all glory to God, a friend from church saw that I had been struggling with so much fear, and shame and condemnation, and invited to pray with me to seek the Holy Spirit for His revelation and to be set free from these feelings.

The Holy Spirit revealed to me many things that I previously could not see.

God saw my brokenness and the many “bandages” I used to cover up my emotional wounds. He wanted to remove them so that I could experience His healing.

Firstly, I realised that the self-talk allowed the enemy to implant lies into my head.

Secondly, I confessed and repented of the occult practices I had done. I drank water that was mixed with pearl powder. I was told that drinking it would help me sleep better and feel calmer.

After my repentance, I no longer felt drawn to wearing pearls any more. I also felt lighter and the voices in my head stopped.

Thirdly, He showed me that I had placed my mother in front of Him. I had made her an idol in my life. I cared more about her opinion rather than God’s. I should have run to God for His wisdom first. I was more afraid of disobeying her, rather than God, and I wanted to please my mom.

Instead of asking what my mother would do, I should have been asked what God wanted me to do.”

    Summary

I’ve struggled with crippling pregame anxiety since college—days when nerves kept me from sleeping or eating. Desperate and overwhelmed, I got down on my knees and cried out to God. In a miraculous turn, I kept encountering the same verse, Joshua 1:9, through unexpected signs: a devotional email, a text from an old friend, and even a necklace with the verse. Over just two weeks, these confirmations filled me with a peace that allowed me to overcome my anxiety. I now testify that God’s promise to be with us gives me strength on the court and in every part of my life.

I am Mashika. On May 11, 2020, I experienced a terrifying sequence: a vivid dream where my late grandfather appeared in the form of the enemy threatening to claim my life, followed by a car accident where, despite my vehicle being totaled, I emerged without a scratch. I prayed fervently, trusting in God’s protection as promised in Psalm 91. Through His intervention, I overcame fear and found gratitude for the deliverance that followed.

In his moment of greatest anguish, Drew felt heaven’s peace. He learned that God knew him.
Drew was raised in a typical member home where he was taught to obey and serve. Despite separation anxiety as a child, he was strong and felt capable of serving a mission. But several weeks into his mission in the Baltic States he felt the terrible anxiety of perfectionism.“I felt that if I wasn’t doing something every second to serve the Lord—pushing myself to the breaking point—then I wasn’t deserving of His blessings,” he said.

When Drew returned home for professional help, he was diligent in scripture study and temple service. Still, he felt many low points of inadequacy. He was pricked with the nagging feeling that “no one understands. No one ever will.”

It came to the point where he decided he could no longer live this way. If happiness couldn’t be found here, maybe he could find it elsewhere. “At my lowest point,” he recounted, “I prayed to ask God how He felt about me. Am I doing the right thing?” he asked.

In response, he felt a comforting impression: “You are going to be okay. I have a plan for you. It will work out.” That feeling offered clarity and peace, he said.“I was looking in all the wrong places for appreciation and fulfillment when I should have been looking to Him,” Drew said. “No one understands you or wants your success as He does. I felt His grace through peace,” he said. “I’ve now switched my focus from perfectionism to steady progress and growth.”
