Reinhardt Buhr starts his testimony in from his early years growing up in a traditional NG church home, and s a teenager he used to be a huge introvert. He started experimenting in new age practises such as astral projection and lucid dreaming. He goes on to share how he first started playing music and his first live show, and how he eventually did a tour to Zanzibar and his first exposure to cocaine. After his band broke up he moved to Cape Town where he had a radical experience with God. Reinhardt shares of some of his fasting experiences and the peace he experienced when he got water baptised. He then continues to share about his Europe tours, and how God transformed him and his music when he started playing music for God. Reinhardt also then shares some advice and prays for people caught in drug addiction.

Facing prison or treatment, I chose a six‑month inpatient program. Yet I tried to conquer it alone, only to relapse into alcohol and loneliness in Portland. When an attorney warned I’d end up dead or incarcerated, I called my parents in Oregon. Moving to Hillsboro was the turning point: steady work, family support, and rediscovered faith. At Westside Community Church I breathed again under their ‘No Perfect People Allowed’ banner, and found Celebrate Recovery. As I worked the Twelve Steps, God became my higher power, and I’ve now celebrated nine years sober. My daughters—once strangers—are back in my life. I come from a broken home where I never felt I belonged. From being bullied in a country I didn’t call my own to plunging into drugs and abusive relationships as an escape, my life was a whirlwind of pain and rejection. I eventually found myself trapped in the lure of addiction until my mom—having found Jesus herself—kept taking me to church. In my desperate search for love and acceptance, I cried out to Jesus. That was the turning point: I came to Patel, where I finally experienced genuine care and the life-changing love of God. Today, I am more secure in who I am in Christ. I grew up with deep insecurities after my dad left our family, which led me down a self-destructive path marked by alcohol, psychedelic drugs, ecstasy, and eventually heroin and crack. After an overdose landed me in the hospital, a family friend from a Christian family introduced me to Betel. I eventually committed to following Him, even forgiving my estranged father when he faced terminal illness.
