My name is Tara, and for years I sought spiritual fulfillment through New Age practices—everything from tarot cards and pendulums to psychic readings and channeling what I believed was my deceased friend. Yet my life remained marked by confusion, grief, and a desperate search for identity. Despite my Catholic upbringing, I’d never experienced a genuine relationship with Jesus. Then, in 2021, the Lord opened my eyes to the darkness behind the ‘light and love’ façade of New Age teachings. I repented, tossed out my crystals and occult books, and began pursuing a true connection with Jesus Christ. Through deliverance prayers and renouncing the spiritual doors I’d opened—like communicating with ‘spirit guides’—God set me free from oppressive influences. Since then, I’ve nurtured an intimate walk with Him, daily learning to guard my heart and mind from deception. No longer bound by lies or fear, I’m grateful for a faith that’s not about rituals, but about a genuine, transforming relationship with Jesus—the only one who could deliver me from the false promises of New Age and lead me into real hope and freedom.
