From Homosexual to New Creation – Darryl Foster
Summary
I was born in a small town in Texas and raised in a strict Pentecostal-Holiness church where I learned early on that being different could mean eternal damnation. Throughout my childhood, I struggled with confusing feelings and a painful sense of rejection. At age 13, I became a target of sexual molestation in my church, an experience that shattered my sense of worth and left me questioning my identity. As I grew older, I embraced a profligate gay lifestyle in an effort to fill the emptiness, participating in clubs, parties, and degrading acts. Despite the temporary highs, a deep loneliness and inner turmoil persisted. In a moment of crisis—when I felt utterly abandoned even by God—I fell to my knees and asked for forgiveness. That day, a powerful encounter with Jesus changed everything. I experienced His unconditional love and mercy, and by His grace, I was made a new creation. Today, I live transformed, free from the chains of my past, testifying to the hope and restoration found only in Jesus.
