I Was Afraid I Would Lose My Jewish Identity | Jano Cymes
Summary
My name is Jano Cymes, and this is my story of transformation. Raised in a conservative Jewish family, I struggled with direction and purpose. After a series of poor decisions and destructive habits, I took a construction job where a co-worker gave me a gospel tract. Initially confused, I eventually realized my need for atonement and a Savior. Fearing I might lose my Jewish identity, I prayed to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In that moment, I experienced a divine confirmation that Jesus was my Messiah and atonement. My relationship with God grew as I studied the Bible, discovering a deeper understanding of my Jewish heritage and the purpose found in Jesus Christ.
