I grew up in the Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tennessee, deeply immersed in church life but holding only a head knowledge of Jesus. Though raised in a religious household, I followed self-righteousness rather than true faith. As I entered adulthood, I struggled with worldly temptations but felt convicted that something was missing. A friend pointed out that I had a head knowledge of Jesus but not a heart knowledge. This led me to a pivotal moment in 1981 when I sincerely prayed for salvation and truly experienced Jesus as my Savior. Over the years, I came to understand Yeshua as the promised Messiah, beyond mere religion. I now share my testimony to encourage others to seek a genuine relationship with Christ, moving beyond rituals to true transformation.
