Healed from Past Wounds and Relationships Through Christ – TESTIMONY | The Church of The Apostles
Growing up, April Bush’s parents were divorced, and she lived with her mom. Her mom worked multiple jobs, moved around often, and had unhealthy relationships with men. April was in an unstable home surrounded by addicts and abusers.
Once April was old enough, she moved in with her boyfriend and had a baby. At the same time, her mom died of heart disease, but April didn’t know how to grieve. She began using drugs and drinking. Her boyfriend left her, and she continued on this destructive path.
After being in a car accident, she started seeking a relationship with God. Thankfully, her Aunt Carol Wages invited April to Christianity Examined at Apostles. At the class, April was encouraged to pursue Jesus. She didn’t feel judged; instead, she was met with love and grace. She ended her homosexual relationship and eventually joined Living Waters.
At Living Waters, April fully surrendered her life in a relationship to Jesus. She healed from her past wounds and learned how to have healthy, Godly relationships with others in her life. April joined The Church of The Apostles in 2019. She is an active and joyful member who loves sharing her faith with everyone she meets.
